Common Virus Symptoms
“When I visit my banks website I am asked for additional information such as my PIN number and full account details.”
“A pop-up appears telling me that I have a virus and asks me to use my credit card to pay for it, and if I try to close the box it keeps re-appearing”
“When I use my browser (Internet Explorer, Chrome, Firefox, Opera, Safari) I am randomly sent to web sites that I did not request.”
Question “I think my computer has a virus, what I should do?!”
Answer: Most of today’s malware is designed to steal anything; from your e-mail account login details, to your on-line banking user name and password. We highly recommend that you DO NOT use your computer again until an expert has been able to inspect and remove the infection. If you use an on-line banking service, as a precaution, you should check your bank statements immediately for any suspicious activity on your account… Better to be safe than sorry!
